Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my creations...I love making memories that I can share with my family and friends....and especially my daughters. They are my inspirations for creating a lot of these layouts. I love taking everyday ordinary things and making them into beautiful altered art. My downfall is buying beautiful papers and not wanting to use them because they are too gorgeous. LOL. Please take the time to check out my crafts, follow my blog and maybe even scraplift them and make sure you let others know where you got the idea...Love to have new followers of my blog.

Back to school gift / oatmeal container.

Hello ladies..Next week is my daughter's first day of 2nd grade, so I thought I should make her teacher a welcome back gift. I had alot of fun with this one. It is a pencil organizer...I think she will really love it. Used Empty Oatmeal Container....cut it down to be 4 1/2" tall....Found this cute apple paper at Michaels for .99 cents. Love it. I also found the ribbon at Michaels. Love how all the colors came together. I went to the dollar store and bought the supplies so didn't cost me much. I found pencils, markers, post it notes, binder clips, and a big fat Eraser that says "OOPS"....My daughter picked this one out. Made the bow with orange ribbon and used my hot glue gun. I also added some cute edible pencils that I made out of rolos and hershey kisses...got this idea off of pinterest.....love that site. The only cricut I used was to make the circles for the tags cut @ 1 1/4" with George and the pink ends for the erasers cut @ 1" with george. I added some tinfoil for the band of the pencils....very cute. Used a stamp that says "You Rule" on one of the edible pencils, and the other I just wrote Welcome back. I still need to make a card so I will try to finish that this week. Thanks for stopping by and Have an awesome day.

Pringles pencil / Scraplifted this idea!

Hello ladies...WEll it is august and almost time for school...My daughter Lilly doesn't go back until September but my nieces and nephew are going this mth. I saw this pencil on this blog...http://www.gluesticksandtape.com/2011/09/teacher-size-pencil.html... I loved this idea for a teacher. I might keep this one for teacher appreciation day...I haven't yet finished it but I am also going to add the teacher's name and NO. 1 ...to show she is No.1 teacher. I just couldn't help myself from posting it. It turned out great. Might have to make a few more. I totally stole this idea and I have another one I am stealing. I hope she don't mind me using this idea. I used a pringles can, tore paper, used some of the dimensions from glue stick and tap blog....had to adjust them alittle so the paper would fit. I also did not have a crimper so I scored it instead...turned out just like it was crimped. Love it. ..I hope you give it a try. Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy the magic

Hello ladies....Well I managed to get a few cards done and one layout today. Friday the 13th started off rocky. My daughter was suppose to have her swimming lessons today...but we get to the pool she gets to play in the baby pool while waiting on the smaller group to get done with their lessons and just as it was her turn to get in the water someone took a dump in the pool...not a regular one either....gross I know. So The instructor said Monday will be make up day. Couldn't swim. Then I get a phone call that my uncle had a massive heartattack. He is ICU...so pray for him please. He had a full blockage. I know how this feels as in April my husband 36 years old had a heartattack and is doing really well now. But very scary when it happened. My uncle is alot older and I am very nervous that he might not recover as well as my husband did. Anyway , to get my mind off of things I thought I should get to my craft room... I bought a new cartridge today and have another one on the way. I found Wild Card 2 cricut cartridge at Michaels for $30.00...this was one thing good about the 13th. Recipe: Balloon cut @ 5 1/2 and envelope cut the same Used Whimsical Design stamps "Whimsical Fun - Vol. 1 for the "enjoy the magic of the moment" Very simple. I love this cartridge better than the Wild Card cart. It is alot easier to use. Hope you enjoy!
