Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my creations...I love making memories that I can share with my family and friends....and especially my daughters. They are my inspirations for creating a lot of these layouts. I love taking everyday ordinary things and making them into beautiful altered art. My downfall is buying beautiful papers and not wanting to use them because they are too gorgeous. LOL. Please take the time to check out my crafts, follow my blog and maybe even scraplift them and make sure you let others know where you got the idea...Love to have new followers of my blog.

Beach theme father's day card/ frosted designs challenge!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial day! I know we did...we cooked on the grill, swam in the pool and just hung out at home together....Well I did manage to get some scrapping done this weekend , when everyone was asleep.

I have been doing some father's day cards, I had one more to make....so I made this one for my dad, this is another easel card / Box (With the lighthouse to put the card in). I love these, so easy to make and you can decorate however you want...

I also entered this one into the frosted design challenge...using buttons..come check them out...http://www.frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/

Card Recipe:

LAB (Life's a beach cart) for the waves cut @ 1 1/2" ,

Boat cut @ 3 1/2",

the helm cut @ 2 1/2"

Box recipe:

Lighthouse cut @ 3 1/2"

Palmtrees cut @ 4 1/4"

Seagulls cut @ 2"

I inked everything with tom holtz dyed tea ink, used some buttons from my stash, some burlap, star buttons, tore the paper for the sand, added pearl to the lighthouse,I doodled in white gel pen and also used gel pens for the happy father's day (that I wrote on), used a poem found online and then cut out and glued to the inside.......the inside says:

So many times when I could of said "I LOVE YOU, DAD"

The words were never spoken...

and so many times

When I should of said,

"THANK YOU , DAD"

I let those times go by...

But today

I want to let you know

That I will always love you....

I'll always be grateful

For everything you do and have done for me!

Then I am also going to get him a Red Lobster gift card (to go with the theme) this is his favorite restraunt.....hope you enjoyed the post today.....and thanks for stopping by..GOD BLESS YOU!

  7. I adore these cards! Tybee Island is my absolute favorite! Your lighthouse card instantly reminded of there. I can hear the waves crashing in as I see it. Thanks for playing along with us this week at Frosted Designs!
