Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my creations...I love making memories that I can share with my family and friends....and especially my daughters. They are my inspirations for creating a lot of these layouts. I love taking everyday ordinary things and making them into beautiful altered art. My downfall is buying beautiful papers and not wanting to use them because they are too gorgeous. LOL. Please take the time to check out my crafts, follow my blog and maybe even scraplift them and make sure you let others know where you got the idea...Love to have new followers of my blog.

Ahoy pirate easel card / box!

Let me start by saying that my dd woke up yesterday with a sore throat, then this morning at 3:00 am woke me to sleep with her and she had a temp of 103. Don't know if it is just a virus or what...doing what I always do, they tylenol, warm bath, comforting her...hope it ends soon..she did not go to preschool today, I might keep her home friday too even if she is fine...just to recover...anyway...I had to make a birthday card for my sil's fiance's son Ryan...he loves pirates, his birthday was last tuesday but did not quite get to making his card until now...I loved how it turned out so I made 2 more...one for my dd preschool friend that she has a birthday party to go to...and the other for my nephew who's 6th b-day will be in august...
Sorry so many pics wanted you to see the different details and could not fit all of that into one pic..

card recipe...

6 X 12 easel card

I used PDDU for all the cuts..

Map cut @ 6 1/2"
Pirate ship cut @ 3 3/4"
Crossbones cut @ 2" (on card) 3 1/2" on box
The telescope is cut @ 5 3/4"
pirate hat is cut @ 1 1/2"
Treasure cut @ 3 1/2"

inked everything in black and tea dye, used distressed stripes cb folder, found pirate map online..just googled pirate map..., added skittles to the pirate treasure to look like gold... added brads...all these cards are alittle different...lots of detail..doodled.

Box
8 1/4" x 8 1/4" then scored at 1" all along edge
Then the top is 8 1/2" X 8 1/2" then scored at 1" along edge
I also stamped happy birthday to outside, used online map again, crossbones (PDDU) look above for size. inked and tore paper....thanks for looking...
