Graduation basket!

Hello everyone! I have been busy planning my hubby's graduation picnic for the 4th of July! He is graduating from Dean Tech ...I am so proud of him. He has been working full-time, going to school partime and still manages to have time for my dd and myself...so I wanted to do something special for him.

I hope he likes this. This is my 1st basket that I've made and I really enjoyed making it, I made it manly without flowers, ribbon, or pearls....my favs...but I didn't think he would appreciate that so I came up with this.

Carts used :

WC for the graduation hat (this is the grad card) faux stitched and inked cut @ 6 1/2", then the diploma is inked cut @ 8"

Frame for the sign is cut @ 10" and then at 9 1/2" (for a shadow)

LT (lockertalk) for the pencil cut @ 2 1/2", books cut @ 4 1/4", pennant cut @ 4", note paper cut @ 4 1/2" and then the compass (it is fixed to the notepaper) (he always had to use one of these) cut @ 4 1/2", and then the calculator cut @ 5 1/2".

George cart for the "Way to go" cut @ 2 1/2"

everything was inked and then I found some gold grad necklaces that I used inside basket and also dangled one on the outside, added star clips (also because it will be on the 4th),

The pipecleaners (gold) I found at Michaels and thought of sparklers....so I needed to add those.

Oh last but not least the sign says

" No more pencils"
" No more books"
" No more teachers dirty looks!"

I hope all of you like and god bless all of you!
