Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my creations...I love making memories that I can share with my family and friends....and especially my daughters. They are my inspirations for creating a lot of these layouts. I love taking everyday ordinary things and making them into beautiful altered art. My downfall is buying beautiful papers and not wanting to use them because they are too gorgeous. LOL. Please take the time to check out my crafts, follow my blog and maybe even scraplift them and make sure you let others know where you got the idea...Love to have new followers of my blog.

A little birdie told me / birthday card!

Hello everyone...I know I said no more until probably November...well I guess I lied. I had to make a birthday card for my husband's gram for Oct 2nd...This is right before we leave for vacation...so one last thing done. It does look alot better in person. I love how this one turned out.

Card recipe:

Serenade for the birdcage 2 cut @ 3 1/2" and added some gold pearls and ivy and flowers up the side....love it.

Bird is also cut from the serenade cart cut @ 1 3/4" added gold pearl for eye and cb with swiss dots folder.

The swirl in blue is cut @ 2 1/2" with serenade...love this cart (borrowed from my mom) The other swirl in gold is from the storybook cart...forget what size, it was left over from something else. I added lace to the bottom and used a ms border punch along the sides....inside: used a stamp that says a little birdie told me that it was your birthday ....Happy birthday! I hope she likes it.

Thank you all for stopping by and God bless you!

Nothing new!

Hello ladies! Sorry I have not posted in a while or even stopped by your blogs for that matter. I will try to get back to scrapbooking probably not until November since I will be gone most of October....so see you then! Take care!

A chic and a bunny!

Hello ladies...I have been pretty busy with school , cleaning, getting things ready for disney, etc....so I am sorry I haven't been checking out your blogs...my dd is also having a tough time being away from me all day. It just breaks my heart that I can't walk her through the halls and be there with her. She told me today she would like it more if it was only half day. I wish too baby girl. So I hope it gets easier. Is there any moms out there going through the same thing or in the past? I feel like I'm the only one!

Oh well enough about me, I got a layout done so I wanted to share. This is a pic from last year at easter time. We went to the park (they were doing an egghunt) it was just me and my dd, and she wanted to get her pic with the bunny , which was unusual since she is so shy. So I snapped this pic of her big smile! I just had to scrap this.

Layout recipe:

I used dcwv blossoms and butterflies stack, I used raffia (bows), inked and added a charm.

SB cart for the title...A (shortyholes) cut @ 2", chic cut @ 1 1/2", and cut @ 1", a (shortyholes) cut @ 1 1/4", bunny cut @ 2" (shortyholes)

Serenade cart for the swirls cut @ 3" and then at 2 3/4", grenery cut @ 2 3/4", added buttons, lace, and some butterflies (used a butterfly punch)...added ribbon and inked with white around edges of layout to soften it ,that is it..hope you enjoy!

Thank you all for listening and God Bless all!

where a kid can meet a mouse!

Hello ladies. Well today was a rough start for my dd ..she did not want to go to school..some little girls said something to her on Wednesday (her 1st day) so now she is being shy and nervous. It really wasn't anything bad it just she is nervous on the bus because she doesn't know anyone. Then she doesn't get off the bus until 4:20pm so this makes for a long day...I am going to have to get her an activity book or something for her to do to keep her mind off things. Thanks again for listening to me ramble on...

I was thinking of Disney again and made this layout...hopefully when we go in October my dd will get to meet mickey or minnie..so I can post a pic...this is also for the pratical scrappers challenge..they want you to use white markers on a layout or card...well I did just that...go check them out at http://www.practicalscrappers.com/ .....or click on the link and it will take you there!

Layout recipe:

I used ds to weld the heart and disney logo, the mickey with the part of the title and the mickey head.

George for the title "where a kid can meet a mouse"

Mickey and friends for the mickey head, mickey and the heart with disney on it.

I added jems (to look like mickey or minnie's head), added ribbon and used glitter paper for the stars which were also cut from the george cart.

I used the white marker around the edges of the mickey head, I traced with a white gel pen around the title.

Last but not least, I used red ink to highlight the edges of the layout.

Thanks for looking and listening ...God bless all!

Dreams come true!

Hello everyone! Well my dd Lily had a great day at kindergarten yesterday. She loved it, but then this morning she did not want to go , she said she would miss me to much again! She got on the bus and was smiling so I think she is just nervous again. Hopefully she will get in the groove.

I was also thinking of Disney because we will be leaving in 36 days...woohoo...I know she will get into the groove and we will be gone for 2 wks and then she will have to get in the groove again. , But it is just kindergarten right?

Anyway enough of me rambling. So since I was thinking of Disney I am in the mood to do a disney layout. I used my ds to place everything where I wanted it and then cut it out.

I used DCT cart for the castle, and title.

I used Storybook for the swirls and added pearls and ribbon. I also added some prima flowers and cb the road for the castle..hope you enjoy. stay tuned for more layouts. Now that I have time....Thanks for stopping by and God bless all!

Trick or Treat (I think treat)!

Hello ladies. I have been on a roll lately even though my dd (LILY) is not even in school yet. So I thought I would do a Halloween card...I usually don't do Halloween but since my brother passed almost 3 years ago I have been thinking about him (his birthday is on Halloween) so this is always a special day in my heart now. Always cherish what you have because you never know when it will be gone...sorry for rambling on. Anyway I decided to do this card ...I love how this came out.

Sorry no cricut:

I used nestabilities for the frame in the middle and cuttlebugged with swiss dots. The bird and pumpkin in the middle is a stamp that I colored with my colored pencils and used mineral spirits to blend it.

I used houndstooth cb folder for the background.

Added a rubon to a piece of white cardstock...love those birds.

I used a ms drippy goo punch and inked in red. (blood)

More rubons up the side of card.

Inside of card:

cb houndstooth again for background

nestabilities for the middle and I wrote Happy Halloween and faux stitched around it because it was to plain

I added some stickers for the trick or treat....added ms drippy goo punch and inked in red for blood....hope you enjoy.

Thank you for taking time to stop by...God bless all!
